This album was written to accompany an hour-long session of Hatha yoga. The composer, longtime yoga expert Chinmaya Dunster, divided the program into seven songs to reflect the body's seven chakras, or energy points. He alternates between slow and mystical compositions and more uptempo, energy-driven pieces that match the varying paces of the Hatha workout. The rich, textured sounds of this music seem to acknowledge an entire host of international traditions, but ultimately there is a distinctly Indian flavor, due to the generous use of the sarod, an Indian stringed instrument.

I've been busy this week with work and only seem to have time listen to some music and watch a few short things. I'm really loving Chinmaya Dunster

Buddha Moon - Chinmaya Dunster

Ok moving away from fromage and into some finer vintages. Buddha Moon by Chinmaya Dunster is a great relaxing album. My friend just introduced me to Chinmaya and I really enjoy this Indian Raga and Flute combination. Highly recommend.
